Bedrooms are for People
This movement is getting attention in the City of Boulder, and perhaps in time it will spill over to the county. Boulder County is definitely a place of privilege as a domicile—largely thanks to the long-term vision of the senior Parks and Open Space planning staff over the years. The county certainly is a pleasant place to ride around but is it completely sustainable? Every property the county acquires is lost to the tax base, but conceivably the numbers will still work and since farmland gets a good break with taxes, the rural ambience may be here to stay. Let’s hope so. But under the growing population and traffic pressure perhaps multi-family living regulations will also need to be re-considered sometime in the future.
