Planning For the Future
Some things are inevitable. One is that human population pressure on the planet is inexorable and we are feeling it along the front range. Some authorities are beginning to adjust to the circumstances, but a notable exception is Boulder County where the regulations are constantly being revised without any input from the taxpayers. While we all concur that the manifestation of opulence in the form of oversized residences is a thing of the past, why is it illegal to have a kitchenette in one’s home to accommodate one’s elderly dependents while affording them a modicum of dignity and independence, instead of confining them to a ‘home’, especially under the threat of Covid? Let the farmer store hay and tractors in a barn; let the equestrian house the horses and ride protected from the elements. Let we the people have a say in our own future.
